Welcome to Ninilchik!

We have recently reduced our lodging rates on our Ninilchik cabins – We hope to see you this summer!

Enjoy the fishing/clamming season in our new 22 acre Birch-covered Ninilchik Cabins on Cook Inlet on the Kenai Peninsula. There is lots of elbow room at our cabin and lodging space along with free firewood, free wireless Internet access, and a coin laundry.

A Good Halibut Catch

Born in the Midwest, having spent 30 years raising a family in Florida, I enjoy the respite here in Alaska, away from the hot Florida summers. Living on Lake Okeechobee and in the Florida Keys, I came here seeking a different world of fishing which was certainly fulfilled in Alaska.

The Kenai Peninsula of Alaska has not only offered new challenges, but has also made me appreciate and understand the meaning of “The Last Frontier”.  Being an entrepreneur, it was only natural for me to identify and try to fulfill some of the needs that my new seasonal hometown of Ninilchik desperately required.

There seemed to be plenty of experienced charter boats and guides fulfilling the appetite for fish, but there was a shortage of good places to spend the night and the non-fishing and clamming hours in Ninilchik without driving many miles outside of the area for accommodations.

Perhaps a long and boring story, as my grandson once put it “that’s enough Grampy”, just to let you know why I am here in Ninilchik.
